Rita Quintero

 

Rita's history in the industry involves thousands of recording studio hours working closely amidst numerous renowned artists, songwriters, engineers, producers, & labels such as Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Eric Schilling, Phil Ramone, and Sony-Epic respectively. Rita also has firsthand experience in regards to touring and promoting on stages worldwide and has been involved in presentations such as The Grammys, MTV Unplugged, Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America, The Monaco World Music Awards, The Latin Grammys, The David Letterman Show, Jay Leno, Shakira's Mongoose World Tour, and Gloria Estefan's Evolution World Tour.

 

Rita’s first love is jazz. She is a graduate of the University of Miami Studio Music and Jazz Program. She is up to date with the happenings in the current jazz music scene and often travels to take in artists such as Robert Glasper, Jose James, Snarky Puppy and Lalah Hathaway.

 

Rita is the recipient of a Latin Grammy recognition award for her participation as Arranger on the 2006 Album of the Year and Song of the Year ("Oral Fixation Volume 1" & "La Tortura" by Shakira & Alejandro Sanz). Rita is a supporter of Miami’s premier jazz radio station WDNA (88.9). She is currently participating in the Jazz Boot Camp serving the jazz youth community held on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the WDNA headquarters. She is also working on her next album.
